Welcome! I am Yinjie Zhao.

I am a Computer Science PhD student at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Prof. Francis Y. Yan. I completed my undergraduate studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and University of Michigan (UMich).

My research interests lie in building efficient and reliable systems for machine learning, with a current focus on systems support for AI agent workloads.

Training with Confidence: Catching Silent Errors in Deep Learning Training with Automated Proactive Checks

My contributions after publication
  • Designed and implemented the runtime checker with a watchdog to monitor trace file changes.
  • Designed a new proxy to achieve torch.compile / distributed training compatibility and reduce runtime overhead.
  • Revised the invariant inference and checking pipeline.
